Our Story

It all started when…

First Assembly of God was founded in 1949 when Pastor Wesly Fritz built the original sanctuary on Georgetown Road. Over the years, God used First Assembly to spread the message of Jesus to this community and the surrounding areas. Suring that time the education wing, foyer, gymnasium, and fellowship hall were all built on as additions.

In 2022 Pastor AJ and Lisa Hunt felt God speak to them to come and be the next pastor at First Assembly of God. We believe that God still has a plan and purpose for First Assembly of God and for Salem County.

God has given us a vision to help people become passionate Spirit led followers of Jesus, and we want people to experience the love of God, be built up in their faith and life, and to continue to reach people for Jesus.
